ADMISSION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

POLICY OF NON-DISCRIMINATION

Trinity Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

ADMISSION PRIORITY

Students shall be admitted to Trinity Lutheran School based on the following priorities:

2. MEMBERS OF TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH OR SISTER LCMS CONGREGATIONS* Qualifying families must make their intent known to the school office prior to open enrollment to the community to secure this priority.

3. NEW STUDENTS FROM THE COMMUNITY*

*Following the re-enrollment period for currently enrolled students, enrollment will be opened to the community on a first come-first served basis.

PROBATION PERIOD

Trinity Lutheran School maintains a fine and gifted faculty. Yet, our teachers are not expected to handle students with exceptional developmental and/or other special needs. Every student enrolled at Trinity Lutheran School will be admitted on a probationary basis of one (1) month. During this period, each student will be assessed for continued enrollment according to the following criteria:

bullet

Ability to perform at grade level

bullet

Acceptable classroom, playground and field trip behavior

bullet

Proper respect for peers, teachers, and other adults

bullet

Interruption of school routine

Parents will be notified at the end of the probation period if their child has demonstrated unsatisfactory progress. The child may either have the probation period extended upon acceptance of specific guidelines, or be removed from enrollment at Trinity Lutheran School. If a child is removed from enrollment, no fees or tuitions will be refunded.
